He qualified as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon after he

completed his MBBS at University Malaya in the year 1989. He did a fellowship at

the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, which he completed in the year 1994,

followed by a Masters in Surgery at the National University of Malaysia, which he

completed in June 1996. He became a Member of the Academy of Medicine

Malaysia in October 2003.

He started his medical internship at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Bahru in

August 1989 and continued his surgical training at the National University Malaysia

Hospital from January 1992 till June 1996. After that, he was a lecturer and clinical

specialist in the Burns, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit of the National

University Malaysia Hospital.

He did plastic surgical training in the Burns, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

unit of the Morriston Hospital, in Swansea, UK from June 1999 till November 2000.

From December 2000 till April 2004, he was a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and

Lecturer at National University Malaysia Hospital.

Currently, he is the Head of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department for the

Sime Darby Medical Centre in Subang Jaya. He is also running his own private

clinical practice in Subang Jaya.

He is the Key Opinion Leader for Menarini SPA Italy in the field of Thread Lift in

Asia. He has spoken at numerous local and international workshops and has been

teaching doctors in the technique in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines

and France.

He also sits in the Asian Scar Advisory Board. He has published 8 clinical and

research papers in international journals.
