Dr. Anita Radhakrishnan is an advanced cardiac imaging specialist. She received her medical degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Chennai, India. She completed her internal medicine residency, chief residency, and cardiology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital, a Temple University academic Hospital. She also received training in Advanced Cardiac Imaging through modalities of Structural Echocardiography, Cardiac MR and Cardiac CT at University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Radhakrishnan is certified by the American Board of Medicine in the subspecialty of Internal Medicine and Cardiology. She has advanced certifications from the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Computed Tomography, American Board of Echocardiography and has received Level III certification by Society of Cardiac MR.

Dr. Radhakrishnan is attending faculty and Associate Program Director for the Cardiology Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital and takes an active role in teaching medical students, medicine residents and cardiology fellows. Dr. Radhakrishnan’s special interests include cardiac imaging, women’s heart disease, preventive cardiology, valvular heart disease and coronary artery disease.

 

Anita and her husband are parents of two boys Suriya and Shivah. She is a disciplined practitioner of Ashtanga yoga, and enjoys dancing Bharatanatyam.
